as we Celebrate the 2nd Annual Gathering of the
WEST SUBURBAN FAITH-BASED PEACE COALITION.
All who feel a faith calling to work for peace in
these troubled times are encouraged to attend.
Featuring:
Lead Pastor of the Lombard Mennonite Church, a committed peacemaker
and courageous voice for peace & nonviolence in his own church,
Todd will explore the important role that Church & Faith Communities
have to play in the work of peacemaking during a time of war, addessing
how Preemptive Love and Reconcilliation are the very Heart of the Christian
Gospel.
Peacemaking in Local Congregations
Five peacemakers, actively involved in peace activities in their own local
churches, mosques and faith communities, will share their thoughts on
the opportunities and challenges of congregation based peacemaking.
