Relief for Syria
Speaker Sarah Adams
MCC's Relief Coordinator in Lebanon and Syria
In the midst of a war that has uprooted its citizens and ravaged the country; in the midst of national and international diplomatic efforts, how do people of faith tangibly express their love and support for the people of Syria most devastated by this conflict? Sarah Adams will share insights and information growing out of her work in coordinating relief to the people of this war-torn country.
Recently returned from her base in Beirut, Lebanon where she is responsible for Mennonite Central Committee's emergency response work in Lebanon and Syria, Sarah worked with local agencies and individuals to coordinate emergency food aid, material resources, trauma recovery, disaster preparedness training for local organizations and conflict transformation. Her many contacts through this work has given her a perspective into the people and region beyond what we see in the nightly news.
