Michael McConnell, UCC minister and Director of American Friends Service Committee's Great Lakes Region, and Dave Martin, LMC Peace Committee chair and Director of the West Suburban Faith-based Peace Coalition.
People of faith are searching our souls for solutions in this ongoing war. How can the United States end its stay in Iraq? How can we as people of faith respond to this war? The questions this series will pose are essential for us to consider as we set before our people God's soul-healing love in Christ.
If you and some in your congregation are asking such questions, then we invite you to take part in this special series. We welcome your church or organization to co-sponsor this series. If you are a pastor, would you be willing to open one evening with a prayer or have your choir participate? We ask you to help publicize this series in your upcoming church bulletins and through any church email lists you may have. If you would like more information on the series please e-mail Dave Martin (davemartin777@comcast.net) or call the Lombard Mennonite Church office at (630) 627-5310.
Please help us spread the word.
Sincerely,
Peace & Justice Committee
Dave Martin (Chair), Rev. Todd Friesen, Jeremy Funk, Dinorah Scott, and Lindy Scott.
