  • Over 10,000 Iraqi Civilians have been killed
  • 18,000 Iraqis are currently detained
  • U.S. soldiers are still dying daily
  • U.S. spends $4 Billion a month on War in Iraq

We have money for war, but...

  • not to adequately fund schools, housing, job training, or health care for the elderly.

THE PEACE FAIR WILL INCLUDE:

  • Keynote Speaker: Michael McConnell, Director of the American Friends Service Committee, Great Lakes Region
  • Over 20 Peace & Justice Workshops by leading peace organizations from across the Chicagoland area
  • The Eyes Wide Open Exhibit, a multi-media exhibit on the War in Iraq, developed by AFSC
  • Peace exhibits and tabling by area Peace Organizations
  • Collection of Humanitarian Relief Kits for war torn areas
  • A simple, community meal : $10 additional fee
  • An Evening Peace Concert: 7:00 pm, $10 Admission; $5 Students
    featuring Dave Martin and the group 'Voices', one of Chicago's foremost peace groups
